During our trip in the Artic regions of Canada we will live with the families in local communities sharing their roof, fire and food with the people of Fort Resolution and Yellowknife. Together we will prepare our adventure and will learn the ropes directly from them. The Slavey people and their ancestors have adapted their way of live to the this cold and remote environment and we are grateful to their masters for the will to share those traditions with us.

Climate change is one of the most serious environmental, economic and political challenges of our time and is an important issue to NW Territories residents. The region is warming at a rate four to five times faster than global averages and this is causing significant changes in the natural environment and the ability to maintain traditional pursuits and lifestyle.
